McCue Attends American Bar Association (ABA) – Forum on the Construction Industry’s Annual Meeting at the Bellagio, Las Vegas, NV, April 26-28

Bob McCue, PE, MDCSystems® Principal, is attending the American Bar Association – Forum on the Construction Industry’s annual meeting in Las Vegas. This years' program focuses on the ever changing use of Project Delivery Systems on construction projects large and small. The program is entitled “Advanced Project Delivery—Improving the Odds of Success.”

Extended afternoon speaker, Mitchell Swann, PE, MDCSystems® Principal, gave the ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer presentation at the ASHRAE Illinois Chapter at the University Center of Chicago (525 S. State Street, Chicago, IL  60605) on April 10th. Presenting on project risk issues once again, Mr. Swann led the ASHRAE audience through an interactive mock dispute.

Mitchell Swann, PE, MDCSystems® Principal, is giving the Distinguished Lecturer Presentation to the ASHRAE, Roanoke Chapter, on March 13 at the Blue 5 Restaurant on 312 2nd Street. This gathering is a joint meeting with the Roanoke Chapters of the American Institutes of Architects (AIA) and the US Green Building Council.

Mr. Swann’s presentation is entitled “Green Design and Sustainability – Undefined Success in a Defined World.” The explosive growth of green buildings and sustainable design can be largely attributed to an increased demand for better performance and a better building environment.  As these expectations become the norm, there exists a greater likelihood of a misalignment between expectation and reality -- and in that misalignment there is risk. Mr. Swann’s program focuses on green design risks and effective strategies to mitigate these risks.
