Time Impact
Analysis (TIA)® is a court-accepted schedule
analysis technique created by MDCSystems®. Coupled with the
application of legal principles, Time Impact Analysis
(TIA)® provides a means for equitably resolving
time-related construction disputes. The Time Impact Analysis technique can be
characterized as a comparative analysis utilizing three basic scheduling
documents.
(1) The As-Planned Schedule is utilized
as a benchmark for measuring performance on a project. (2) The
As-Built Schedule depicts the actual sequence of events
occurring over the life of a project. (3) The Adjusted
Schedule (Controlling Time Impact) is a
series of adjusted schedules utilized to explain major schedule variances over
the life of a project.
