MDC® was asked to undertake a detailed analysis of the mechanical system design for this middle-eastern advanced facility. The chiller plant capacity was in question given the multi-purpose use expected for this development. MDC® undertook a complete evaluation of the overall energy needs for the facility to determine if the original design criteria and specifications would be adequate for the various uses of the facility. This involved an analysis of the appropriate ASHRAE design data for the location and the determination of the required outside air supply system. MDC®’s work resulted in significant redesign of the mechanical system so that the facility could satisfy its future intended uses.
