MDC® was requested to provide expert analysis to an EPC contractor in a multi-party insurance litigation concerning a project in Pakistan. MDC® performed an expedited review of both technical and scheduling issues and worked with outside counsel in the UK to identify and analyze project delays and identify their relationship to technical and contractual issues, including force majeure events, physical damage to equipment and delay causation.

MDC® evaluated the impact of an air inlet fire, third party failures to deliver fuel of the correct quality, technical issues related to the water treatment system for the boiler feed water, and other technical issues. MDC® analyzed the contemporaneous project schedules to determine the delay impact of each cause for delay.

MDC® undertook a detailed investigation of the history of the project and performed technical and schedule analysis of key issues. Resolution of the claims and counterclaims is pending in the UK.
